Sad Puppy Poem by Jackie Ann

Sad Puppy

Rating: 5.0

Sad Puppy

I am a little puppy
With Brothers, Sisters, Mom and Dad.
I don't know where they have gone
And now I am so sad.

Some people kept my parents
In their yard all day and night.
The leashes were too short
And their collars were too tight.

My Mom had five new puppies
And the people said we should be sold.
A nice lady took my Mom,
But Dad was just too old…

My sisters and brothers went away
To nice places I was told.
Then the people left me all alone
When I wasn't sold.

I am so afraid now
Confused with no one to hold.
No food or water or a home.
Just outside in the cold.

Next time you want a puppy
And are filled with glee…
Think of your puppy's family
And please think of me!

My Dad was never neutered
My Mom was never spayed.
It doesn't cost much money
I wish someone had paid.

Really great message you have written in this poem, it is so sad when this happens. Your poem will be a guiding star showing others how to keep this sad plight from happening over and over again. Thank you, RoseAnn
