Sadness Poem by Joyce Rwambali

Sadness

Rating: 4.5

The sadness engulfed me,
At each angle it gave in.
The tears in my eyes became a puddle,
As big as a hippos mouth and
As watery as a melted glacier
The sadness grew and grew.

At one moment i couldn't bare myself
Nor even look at my face ever so dull;
The gloomy sky darkened,
Everything had turned into misery.
as the moon came out the sky growled at my sight.
Not even nature was content;

The sickening pit of litter darkened
The grass died, the trees knelt down,
showing a symbol of total submission towards the great depression.
The shadows grew inwards and the city was in closed,
Hail came, lightning flashed and the thunder channeled across the earth.

The though i had f her, I'd cherished.
I said my last goodbye,
Prolonged my weeping in the earth full of sadness.
I leaped out to grab her hand but she was gone,
Fled away from the doom of darkness.

It was too late, my mind was slow and my heart misled..
