The Unknown - Poem by Joyce Rwambali
One side of me was darkness
One side of me was light
One side of me was bright,
Brighter then bright
It was gorgeous, but not me.
One side of me was curious
One side of me was delighted
One side of me was unknown,
Unknown to man kind
It was reality, not my imagination.
One side of me leapt with joy
One side of me wept with misery
One side of me was in tenderness,
Tenderness never to be known
It was anguish that Id never felt before.
One side of me finally cried
One side of me was released
One side of me was covered,
Covered with the shafts of sunlight
It glowed, it smiled and it was happy,
But was to be left unknown
