Sadness is in my life
It won't stop coming to me
from the inside, it scratches me like a knife
but from the outside, it stings me like a bee
Which is worse, the inside pain or the outside pain? For most people, I am sure that it is the pain inside.
Sadness can be overcome. You can be happy if you really want to be. As Roger Miller said,
You can't go swimmin' in a baseball pool,
But you can be happy if you've a mind to.
All you gotta do is set your mind to it;
Knuckle down, buckle down, do it, do it, do it!
