Sadness The Fuel Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Sadness The Fuel

Sadness the fuel.
But
Sadness too the fire
The yawn in the night
Was loud
Was sudden
Crackled the embers of the fire
Lighthouse of the sea and
Waters
Hope turning in dark
Around
Glimmer of glimmers
Startled sound.
Shuddered
The tree leaves
Though not too cold
Roamed the magic smokes
The incense from the rubble-walls
And
Then
And
Then
The shout of Silence
The full emptiness
The opposites that describe
Things
Phenomena
This night and ever.
