Safehold Poem by Seren dipitydyke

Safehold

Rest your head on my shoulder
and fall asleep in my arms.
Dream sweet dreams
and you'll realize you have a safehold.

Drown out the yelling and the fighting
in our ever interesting conversations.
Look into my eyes, my face, my soul,
and see the smile that dances across because of you.

Listen to the music playing
in the dark and cold air.
Feel the warmth of my hand holding yours
and know that you have a safehold.

Talk to me whenever you need to
about anything and everything.
Trust and confide in me,
in everything that we say and do.

Whenever life's problems become too much,
dropp them off at my heart's door,
take a deep breath,
and take comfort in your safehold, me.
