Safety Net Poem by AXKANE VII

Safety Net

I miss her
Whomever she is

I was hanging onto the edge of a cliff
She reached for my hand
I felt the roughness of my heart shift
And knew she was no longer a friend

I was muted by the noises of wrath
But she would stay right there and say "choose your path"
I never felt safer with the ones I have met
It's just been her…my long lost safety net
