Salmonella Poisoning Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Salmonella Poisoning

A tummy ache, a fever bright,
Washing through you, day and night.
Stomach cramps that squeeze and pull,
Making you feel quite unwell.

Diarrhea, a watery tide,
With chills that make you want to hide.
Nausea, a queasy sway,
Hoping it will go away.

From food or water, or a friend,
A tiny germ, that has no end.
Chicken, eggs, or a reptile's touch,
Can bring this sickness, oh so much.

Drink your water, clear and cool,
To keep from feeling like a fool.
Most will pass, and you'll be fine,
But listen to your body's sign.
