Salsa Poem by Christine Natale

Salsa

It was the lemon blossom breeze
That tear-tingling sweet scent
Rippling over earth’s senses
Like a lover’s caress and intimate kiss

It was the lemon blossom breeze
Stinging the warm spring sunlight
Hypnotizing the wind dancers
Suggesting release of natural passions

It was the lemon blossom music
Calling lovers home to the unknown
Longing for sunsets over the Atlantic
From an anonymous white hot balcony

It was the lemon blossom springtime
Reincarnating Carmen
Flashing fandangos and
Tintillating golden spangles
Swirling in lemon blossom springtime
Salsa
