Salvation, My Balm Poem by James James

Salvation, My Balm

SALVATION, MY BALM

Oh! For my longing injuries were finally cured,
Now has my soul's dirt wiped and pure;
For me the agony of glory my redeemer borne,
To rescue my soul, and sin no more;
Ah Lord! This only, can be by thy saving arm;
Salvation! Salvation, my balm!

Atlas! The wall of partition is pulled down,
The barriers after my healing totally bow;
Such was the wall of sin that fars me from thee,
This had thou rooted by thy love so free!
Ah Lord! This only, can be by thy saving arm;
Salvation! Salvation, my balm!

Oh mine! Oh because of me, was He battered,
Because of my sin was my Lord shattered;
Yet, He still found me, who caused Him shame,
And made me a partaker of His glorious name!
Ah Lord! This only, can be by thy saving arm;
Salvation! Salvation, my balm!

Yea! After this proclaimed I my victory,
For my name blotted from hell makes me free;
By this, gained I the full access to redemption,
By this, gained I the access to the glorious mansion;
Ah Lord! This only, can be by thy saving arm;
Salvation! Salvation, my balm!
