Behold the Man, the Christ God sent,
To serve His plan just as God meant,
In Roman times, to represent
Atoning crimes, if we repent.
Behold the Man, who stayed steadfast,
To prove Christ can from first to last,
At Calvary's hill, to stare aghast,
Remaining till that day had passed.
Behold the Man who faced sins' dross,
So Jews would scan Christ's weighted cross,
With sinners who must learn because
The Gentiles, too, must learn His loss.
Behold the Man, who would be King,
Though Christ began as but a thing,
Within the womb, not wandering,
Until His Tomb, not pondering.
Behold the Man who died for you,
Behold the Lamb, John pointed to,
Christ's sacrifice proved love so true,
Christ's paid the price for me and you.
Behold the Lord who rose from death
When God ignored Christ's final breath,
And made Him stand as Lord of all,
To prove God planned this miracle!
Behold the love of God's Good News,
Heaven's above, once changing views!
Don't wait till death before you choose
Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews!
