Same Song, Different Ending Poem by brieann morrison

Same Song, Different Ending

Here we go again with the same old routine,
like a CD on repeat,
here comes the i miss you,
the i changed and the i forgive yous.
And here comes the kissing and car rides,
same ol' person,
same ol' taste.
You never tell me what you want,
you never listen to what i say,
your texting her and holding me.
Here goes the routine,
we break up,
i delet your number and erase your face,
im better without you messing with my head.
But here you are again picking me up,
with those gorgeous blue eyes,
contagious smile,
and that addicting touch.
Nobody knows but us,
when we go back its like nothing happened.
I go out for a smoke,
you go out for a walk and we meet up,
i get that kiss ive been dying for all day,
it still lingers on my lips.
But baby, lets change the ending,
lets make this last,
remix the song so it'll never end.
we'll keep on kissing and holding til someone pulls us apart.
There's going to be skips in the CD,
but we can get around anything thrown at us,
right?
