Sanctuary Poem by hari kunisseri

Sanctuary

Sanctuary
----

The mind quietens,
Soaking in the sound,

Crows cawing,
Koels calling,
Squeaks from squirrels,
chirping of sparrows,

The blue, blue sky
a vast expanse of
freshly bathed
greenery,
a breeze,
swaying the branches
over a stone seat

where I sit,
in near bliss,
a
vision flits past
were you by my side,
this would be
our
Garden of Eden.
