Sarah Poem by William Waterway

Sarah

Conceived - surrounded by sea
beginning of your life’s journey
slowly, you evolve - come to know
things of this world as you discover and grow
always something new to learn and read
about yourself, the world, and life born of seed

Your gentle spirit flows around you near
as your laughter touches others who hear
always someplace to go or something to do
a job for now, a pet to feed chow - your life’s glue
as days and seasons pass from one to another
a passage whose toil you see reflected in mirror

Never cease to wonder and ponder this place rare
to look high at the sky and wonder why
to drink the pure waters of your Earthly passage
to feel its deeper meaning and decipher it message
to help others who have less but also care for yourself
for each moment is an adventure filled with wealth

Although this journey is all too brief
and, at times, punctuated with inevitable grief
fear not the travails that may visit from time to time
for they keep you awake within this place sublime
never forget your innocent fun child within
and you will pass this life wearing a grin
