Saturday Afternoon Poem by Miemi Jamal

Saturday Afternoon

At the corner I stand
All alone on Saturday afternoon

Traffic passing
People rushing
Rain teasing
Wind blowing
I’m smoking
With my thoughts
I’m dancing

In the Distance I hear the prayers call
With the prayers wind I send my love
My call my silent call
Where ever you are,
Who ever you might be
Speak up If you hear me.
