Save Me From Reality - Poem by Melissa Koeman
Reality struck me down
and again crushed my dreams.
Saw you standing in the distance.
Your cold wind blows through the wasteland,
called my heart.
You don’t care about me.
You will never be a friend of mine
and you will certainly never be my lover.
It doesn’t matter how hard I wish for that to happen,
because in reality I know that it is not meant to be.
When you say a friendly hello to me,
you just say that out of politeness.
I can see that in your eyes
and then I just know that you aren’t sincere.
At those moments I feel so alone and lost
and it hurts me that of all people you don’t like me.
Because I couldn’t care less about
all the other fucking people in the world.
I only care about you and your opinion.
Because all I want in my life is you…
Can’t someone save me from this reality?
