Saw Lament Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Saw Lament

Saw lament

It was then when he said
-"You are saw, a Persian! "
-I was caught feeling dumb
-"Aren't saws all the same?
-…what is the Persian one? "

Possibly is too late, time is dead
-but I know…am aware…
-saws have teeth and they cut
-but Persian is made how
-cuts two ways, go and come!

That is how breath is
-if belongs to hero
-now fallen, forgotten
-best for him can be if
-not being laughed at as
-some clown and joker…

Living in rented house
-with payments far behind
-empty the fridge and pocket
-and the works all half-done;
-each breath is a saw
-Persian one…

Come poems of lament
-please be ointment, killing pain,

Read the best of Gormley
-the Irish female poet
-after losing husband
-in need of Church's help
