Scars Poem by Ashley Wade

Scars

There are scars,
Along my arm.
For everytime that I
Did something wrong.

There are scars,
Across my hip.
From when i busted
Up some kids lip.

There's a scar,
Across my neck.
It's from my dog,
But it was an accident.

There are scars,
Along my legs.
To remind me that
I'm as fragile as eggs.

There are scars,
On my thumbs.
They say to take my headache medicine,
Don't be so dumb.

On almost every surface of my skin,
Almost like a work of art,
My scars are stories.

None were self-inflicted,
I'm just as clumsy as can be.
My scars are unique,
My scars are part of me...
