Schizophrenia...(17 / 10 / 2015 / 09: 21-Am) . Poem by Koena Mokoena

Schizophrenia...(17 / 10 / 2015 / 09: 21-Am) .

I have schizophrenia, /
hence i see people, /
whom i can hear them speak, /
but i can never touch them... /
They tell me that i shouldn't /
drink water, & this means i am mad. /
When i think of socializing... /
Nomusa i.e my neighbour /
would say that i am forcing... /

I have adopted Mosebetsi /
a brother, whom i know from church /
& when i am sleeping with him; /
people would tell me that he ain't mad... /

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem is about the things, which i am going through on a daily basis like a poet, so i am dedicating it to anyone who would like to be on the same situation like me as a poet for this matter.
The fact is i have composed it in Intabazwe public library, hence i am inspired by my backround...
