Schizophrenic Speculation Poem by Aaron Carmichael

Schizophrenic Speculation

Rating: 5.0

Ever wake up to you calling your name,
you reply not knowing the stranger and you are one in the same,
As you become acquainted with this new found friend,
never realizing you've started the beginning of the end,
your mind is being altered by a subconscious scheme,
that has managed to strip you of your self-esteem,
all your thoughts are polluted, now it's retribution you obsess,
now your inspired vegeance will never let you rest,
know amount of blood spilled will ever relieve,
not one ounce of tranquillity will you ever achieve,
acting on just one psychotic conception you'll find,
the life altering ego infects and consumes your mind,
consuming your soul, leaving a tormented abyss,
left with only one desire, to never exist,
the inevetable fate of a schizo engulfed in a catastrophic mind,
in a moment in time, when more than one reality become intwined.

This poem reminds me of a great friend of mine, also named Aaron. He says these exact same things to me, though not quite so lyrically. I like this poem. It is evident that you've had some sort of experience that led to it, and makes me all the more curious...
