School Poem by Kate Alyssa

School

A prison with balls and chains,
you're forced to stay with no escape.
Every thought you think makes you wonder when the pain will all be over.
Suddenly, the walls start closing in,
And the darkness begins to consume you whole
until there is nothing left but,
the lingering remains of thoughts no longer left to think.
They only care when you're dead.
Suicide is the second leading cause of death in children.
I wonder why?
