So many prospects of cold emblems
Yawning against the fires beneath the overpass-
What do they dream about
While the trucks sell tacos to little girls metamorphosed
From the waves after midnight,
After all of the tourists have headed into the high rises
And the sharks gleam beneath them
Like shallow miracles- mindless but headed for
Dreams;
But with the daylight, they shall disappear and
There will be starships and school again tomorrow.
