School Girl Poem by Mutsawashe Museredza

School Girl

Clad in her immaculate neatly ironed, uniform. She walks religiously to school, to have the priceless education for a better future. A doctor, nurse, teacher are amongst the desire of her heart to be. A hot cake she is appealing up for grabs. School girl!
when principles are lacking or somehow she is overwhelmed by the call of nature, she fall prey to those mean man on the street corners.
Oh School girl!
Impregnated, desolate now, what's up for that future? Or worst case scenario, she is passed the incurable virus, of the pandemic every doctor`s headache HIV/AIDS, Oh poor school girl!
Thoughts of regret, depression, even suicidal enshrouds her Oh school girl!
My heart bleeds for you, Wake up School girl. Let principle, purpose and destiny be key to your life. Remain astute to your principles. Value your education and dear life! When you educate a girl child, you educate a generation!
School girl!
