Sit me down
And let me take in the atmosphere
You look lovely tonight my dear
Dressed up like a schoolgirl

Work's been like needles into my skin these days
As well as feeling like daggers in my back
So cheer me up and give me some words of encouragement
Show me some signs of comfort
Take me away from the real world for at least a little while
Make me smile

Bring out my usual and I'll be more than happy
Even tell you that you're beautiful and pretty

You and the other girls are dressed up like schoolgirls tonight
With it being Wednesday

I can tell that you and the other girls help others like me drive our cares away
While making individuals like me forget about the real world
And for that, thank you very much
It means a lot
