Scientists say that abiogenesis,
the origin of life on Earth goes back
to about 4 billion years.

They also propose numerous ideas
trying to explain the process of
abiogenesis by such speculations
as the Zn-World, The Deep Sea Vent,
or The Panspermia Hypothesis (which
assumes that life exists throughout
the universe) .

It is very possible that science will never
find out the secret of life's origin.
One cogent supportive argument pointing
to this conclusion concerns the fact
that it is impossible to draw a precise
distinction between living and nonliving
things.
