Scoop a Poop

A poo bag in your pocket another in your hand
Always at the ready, waiting for it to land
Make sure that you have plenty before you close your door
Always at the ready to scoop it off the floor

Once your doggie's done it and you've scooped it off the ground
Place it in a special bin, once that its been found
Whether it landed on the pathway in the park or down the lane
Always be at the ready to start all over again

Remember that poo is slippery and a hazard to other folk
If they slip and break a bone or two for them it'll be no joke
They won't be very happy if some stuck under their shoe
All that is asked of you is that you scoop up your doggies poo

A poo bag in your pocket another in your hand
Always at the ready waiting for another to land
Make sure you remove it and scoop it off the soil
Help make Southend Sparkle if your doggy spoils

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
After leading a campaign to restore my local park to its original beauty and rid it of unsociable visitors I found myself volunteering to assist in the local Councils department of 'Make Southend Sparkle' One of the topics is dog feeling so I created this poem to raise awareness
