Scopolamine (English Translation) Poem by Catherine Pozzi

Scopolamine (English Translation)

This wine that flows within my vein
Has drowned my heart and will again
In the sky-with neither captain nor money-
My heart sails into a scene
Where Oblivion melts like honey

My heart’s a star that’s newly here
It swims in the divine nonpareil
Drift, strange heart, and do not fear.
O voyage towards the Sun-away!
A sound that’s new and sweet and deep
Is the thread that haunts your sleep

My heart has left my history
Goodbye to Form I don’t feel or see
Lost am I / saved am I
In the unknown I look for me-
A name that’s free of memory
