Scorched And Burned Poem by Kurt Philip Behm

Scorched And Burned

Seventeen children
on a highway to hell

Thumbs out—noses down,
perdition rings their bell

Seventeen children,
their backs now fully turned

The piper calls them blindly
—their futures scorched and burned
