Scouting Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Scouting

Scouting

Finished the script of a film,
Siren, is what named it,
And grave is my need,
To turn it to movie,
So, went out scouting
Richmond, Westminster
Saw a good location, Fraser.

That is where met a girl
With dirty curly hair,
And badly worn dress,
She smoked cigarette,
Long inhales, short exhales.

In her eyes ran questions
About the film, Siren.

In short pitch, I told her.

Became lead,
Showed graves,
Till stopped…

"Here lies my mother
While I am a homeless! "
She told me in detail.

In no time was balloon
Caught by a big baboon
That played, pressured,
Shed tears when bitten.

"Will you be my Percy? "
Pleaded and begged me.

Mesmerized by her words
Told her that needed more.

"Help Mary to have sex,
Over her mom's grave,
As did Percy Shelly."
