Scroll Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Been born in a village
-on skirts of mountains
-has given privilege
-to fly, see and hunt as eagle.

I catch fish in the sea
-and like them when varied.

Hunt roosters in gardens
-enjoy first, when watch them
-hidden by and amongst
-colourful flowers…

In cities, as a man
-travel, drive, pass
-and stop at the doors
-to have chats and converse.
-My eagle comes to life
-sees huge gardens, farms,
-colourful flowers…

I use it as my guide…
-when seeing at frame,
-angular, diagonal,
-scroll is tied up:
- "Jewish are those inside…"

Prepared, I enter
-with the Abram's knowledge;
-Abraham and Sara,
-and cousin; Lot who lost
-connections through time…

I follow the couple
-each as child, children
-of Noah, as mentioned
-in the Old-Testament…
-Talk of Arch's place…
-with questions and answers,
-till at last can claim (stand firm) :
- "They were born in Alborz of Iran! "
