Seances Poem by Wayne Falconer

Seances

These moments when past ghost haunt our lives,
as children taunt dull suburban wives.
With magic forces dark and bright,
silhouetted figures dancing through light.
Lovers could easily forget the job scene,
abandon prophets, music, art and even their God theme.

Explorer and dreamer, you could with ease,
turn the mystery envelope keys.
Turn off your rational thinking mind,
pretend to become faithfully blind.
Instead we must serve the money beast,
who preys upon souls to feast.

My friend I suggest raising the self awareness awhile,
sit and laugh dress with fashion style.
Discuss within this literary gold mine,
seances, love, art, reason and rhyme.
Where you might in unguarded spirit see
the magic redeeming aura surrounding you and me.
