Secret Escape Poem by Aria Quimby

Secret Escape

Away from the harsh world I sit in silence.
The beauty of this new discovery is indescribable.
Quiet, serene, beautiful.
Unimaginable feelings flow
Throughout the entirety of my body as I sit here alone.
Nothing but the whispers of the cool, comforting wind on my back.
I have escaped.
I close my eyes and lie down.
The feeling of this wonderful hideaway is mine.
I sit up. Remembering that I own this place. It is my escape.
I hide from those around me.
As I lie down once more, closing my eyes for the last time.
I drift to sleep in peace never to awake again.
