Secular Truth

The world we share bears so much shame
Decay plagues every land
Her brood deny their Saviour’s name
The Lord, through whom we stand

Worldly truth, wears many a guise
Hiding a heart of stone
She fools herself, to think she’s wise
Upon her shameful throne

Thinking to have life’s battle won
Thinking she knows it all
She’ll flounder round without God’s Son
Until her final fall

While pride dictates she’s never wrong
With arrogance she’s wed
Choosing to sing the devil’s song
She lies in Satan’s bed

Adulterous, is the world at large
She whores where none to pay
But who’ll defend against the charge?
Her Judge will make one day

From what’s unknown she seeks to flee
She’s heard of God on high
But fails through pride to bend her knee
So as a fool, she’ll die –Hos.4: 6

Through land and space she searches wide
Beneath the ocean floor
With Satan as her faithful guide
She’ll fail to find Life’s Door

The world’s defence will be in vain
While sin’s her daily bread
She needs to turn, be born-again
And serve The Lord instead
