See Me In Pain! Poem by pepple victor, ida

See Me In Pain!

Sky’s flower smears my soul
In the rains my tears are conspicuous
Betrayed by sacred conscience
Heart break scar is evergreen
Trigger off hate inside
Still I belch passionate flame like
A wounded dragon refusing to be
Consumed by earth
Now! I know grieves are heavy like
Grim reaper who took beloved
Before agreed time of intimacy.
Shortcoming was sacred faithfulness…
If I knew morrow, then
I would’ve victor emotional anxiety now
The gods guide that secret with their soul
From the hot prophesies of hate
Death is my view point of joy
Ancestors of my speaks
‘Son, there are plethora of fishes in Okolomatoru*
So prithee cast net in another creek….’
So I uproot ijieta* from my being
True nature is flowering there now!

(‘Okolomatoru’ is an IBANI word for ocean. the IBANIS are among the ethnic groups in Niger delta, Nigeria. they occupy the present day BONNY ISLAND. ‘Ijieta’, is also an IBANI word for a native kind of grass, which is very hard, it is nick named ‘stubborn grass’ in the Pidgin English spoken in Nigeria.)
