See You Under A Firework Poem by M. W. Taylor

See You Under A Firework

See you under a firework
in the cold, lonely sky.
Beneath the dazzling lights
and awe that never dies.

See you under a firework,
where flames burst, a sense of duty
to your skin, your eyes your lips.
A tribute to your vibrant beauty

See you under a firework,
when the days of light have passed
like shadows beneath the sunrise
a happiness that does not last

See you under a firework
Precious time running low
Like a love song coming to close
with a scene for all to know

See you under a firework
Sparks begin the flames
They propell into the air
'I want you, ' my heart proclaims

See you under a firework
Under future stars, by future sea
Like sand beneath the waves,
who knows where we will be?
