Seeing Her For The First Time Poem by Kasia Fedyk

Seeing Her For The First Time

I saw her.
She stood at the doorway of eternity,
half of her in the aura of light,
circling around her protecting her,
exposing the truths,
This is the first time I truly saw her,
she wore no veil, oh, she was beautiful!
I could not take my eyes off her,
her glow was majestic, like stepping into
the other side without really being there,
how could I have ever; not seen her this way,
she, before me, the nakedness of her spirit
moved me beyond recognition,
so many times before her reflection was all I saw,
never the true her, never her true self,
for the fist time I stood at the top
of the mountain, seeing the view, the reality of
what I could not see before, it was all obscure, not known to me this way,
her heart was pure like a crystal, love beamed through her very essence, magnified with every beat,
she was the light I needed, she was the life,
the life itself, now I understood.
I knew she was the only one who could ignite my fire,
She is the flame.
