Seeing In The Dark Poem by Asma Khan

Seeing In The Dark

Perfect was nothing around me ever
I said everything but the truth never
abandoned and dismayed
flipped, swung and swayed
I kept grinding my grieves in the time's churner

Pains tickle the heart that cries
all I have to dress in is a sheet of white lies
in my collection of dream book
you are my favorite chapter
a masterpiece of love life that never dies

For long I have collected these tears in my heart
sufferance and patience were fuels to pull my cart
rippled, ignored and muddled
I tricked my souls, and whom not?
for your happiness, I drew myself apart!
