Seeing Through Poem by Varghese J Kuttikat

Seeing Through

No evil incarnation has so far dared enter our world
Strutting about as the sole savior of our abode
The blood-thirsty wolf would love to be taken for a lamb
It was the golden deer that led goddess Sita astray
Satan assumed the shape of serpent to pollute the heavenly Eden
Judas put on the guise of a soul-mate to betray Jesus
A certain hideousness keeps company with all meanness
Murderers would love to be renowned as martyrs glorious
No clarion-calls for bloodiness for the sheer evil delight
Of course, a hidden dagger is as murderous as the one drawn out
The Evil-One prefers whisperings subtle , seductive , potent
Man should see through the thick darkness of Night
And if he could, Morning benign would greet him with Light
