Desires Forgivable Poem by Varghese J Kuttikat

Desires Forgivable

Rating: 5.0

Sudden vanishings stir up vibrations intense
Very much alive, those who remain salute the departed ones
Brevity of earthly sojourn needn't dishearten us
All blossoming lapses into withering dolorous
The eloquent flutist surrenders his flute and himself
With a sense of fulfillment, saluting the Absolute awesome
Let me soar up into wakefulness beyond sleep
Forgive me, if my wish be extravagant, full of pomp
Nevertheless, O Lord, Thou art Bounty bounteous
And would grant us our hearts' forgivable desires
