When the melted midnights mellow,
And stars vacate the scene,
Then behold the golden yellow
Upon the fields serene,
And swaying flowers in the breeze,
From reds to pinks in view,
Then tell me, if that stirs new peace,
Within the heart of you.
When gazing at such scenery,
It takes my breath away,
And fills me with tranquillity,
At this, the break of day.
Before the sunshine warms the earth,
And rain perchance should fall,
I cherish this as if new birth!
This is a miracle!
