Self - Poem by kawambee thomas

U can’t seem to know a person’s self if your clouded by your own emotions
Recognize my pain but acknowledge my heart still loves
My greatest success is my failures, my development came from love
But does my weakness and unsettle times determine my soul
But I ask you who loves me be strong and grab hold
Lets reach great heights and let ecstasy fill the air
Pushing away our tough moments of despair
I look within your eyes and cry to myself knowing you need me
But in reality I’m looking at me, fortunate enough to recognizing God’s gift and abilities
Being great never came easy, prophets lived and died leaving the bible marked and confusing.
