Self-Centred Poem by Ankita Sharma

Self-Centred

I am the centre of everything
I am the whole
Everything should start with me,
Start with the soul
And it's not a sin to say:
Everything starts with me
Should always start with me
Will always start with me
And those who think it's a sin - will never begin
I am the centre
I am the whole
I am the all
I am the soul
If my love should rain, it should be on my own self
I'm forever the sole object of my love
And it's not a sin
And those who think it is;
Will never begin
Never love any other and leave yourself alone
Trying to grow flowers on the fields of another;
When there are thorns on your own
Everything starts here and there's no need to pretend
I start with myself - and that's where I'll end

very true and firm. you know what, most people think like that, but are afraid to say so. there is nothing wrong with that. i appreciate your courage. we have been entrusted with ourselves, y not start with oneself then. very good, and very well written. thank you.
