Self Harm Kills. Poem by chris chapman

self harm can kill,
for the one doing it,
it becomes a thrill,
until they're too weak to overcome it,
they're going through tough times,
so they cut themselves,
instead of committing crimes,
they cause pain to themselves,
in the hope of suppressing,
suppressing the feelings that are depressing,
they become addicted,
to the physical pain,
that is self inflicted,
to block the emotional pain,
they end up covered in scars,
which they try to hide,
where as i just look and pray to the stars,
to block those feelings inside,
i have done this before,
so i am talking from experience,
cutting can work for sure,
this right here is emotional science.
