Senate Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Senate

Senate

My eyes on small, large screens
-in Senate but observe thirty Birds
-and Attar's smartness
-then recall ‘North' when thrown in fire…
-by Reagan for Iran, Israel, Salvador
-what a mess and shameless, is always politics
Life is mess
Life is mess

Go through Rudyard's life
-Kipling
-and his time
-and his books
-and losing children
-Josephine at six and
-John when was seventeen

Was great royalist and racist
-his wealth had no limit…

The Shamans light senate
-Old agents; no wisdom
-back to life after death…

Mayas' time and Incas'

What a mess is this world
-led by the Westerners
-Gringos to Yankees
-all faithless egoists
-scattered around us
-their tongues lie
-hands hold guns

I rather living with
-what Attar has written
-of Senate of the Birds
-united, wise, givers…
-than living in these days
-anywhere, on this Earth
-filled with lies of cheaters…
