Senior Year Poem by Samantha Pring

Senior Year

Senior year is finally here
We waited 12 years for this
And now it brings us tears

'what are you gonna do with your life '
I think we' ve all heard it a thousand times
We say we have it all planned out
But in our minds there is doubt
Weather were going away or staying home
We all fear the unknown
were terrified to be going our seperate ways
So were trying to make memories that never fade
We all know nothing will ever be the same

Trying to spend our time left with our friends
Noone wants senior year to end
We spent 2160 days
Begging for this day to come
Sitting in desks day after day
Taking tests and writing essays
Roaming the halls
High fiveing friends
And keeping up with the latest trends
We complain about the drama
And all the cliques
But in the real world were all gonna take our licks
Love it or hate it..
Guess what guys we made it
Free at last..but sometimes we wish we could go back to the past

Back to freshman year
When all we were worried about was where the next party was gonna be at
We shed so meny tears
We drank so meny beers
We shared so meny good times over the years

Weve grown up with eachother since we were 5
How are we supoosed to say goodbye?
Everyone swears there gonna stay close
But noone every truly knows
After june 2010
Who knows if we'lll meet again

Were all little fish in a big sea
Trying to figure out what were gonna be
Guess welll have to wait an see
Beacuse seneca high molded both you and me
Teachers lawyers docters or vets
Were all searching for sucsess

The foundation of our life is built from here
Lets start it off with laughs and cheers
Were all excited terrified and stressed
About where life is gonna take us next

When we look back at our memory books
We'll laugh and cry
Then let out a big sigh
O i wish i could go back to seneca high
