Senryū Poems Poem by Mycho Jamil

Senryū Poems

1.

I stare blankly
at the pastor in church...
what to cook for lunch?

2.

awake and frozen
in the middle of the night...
that "zzzzz" sound!

3.

gazing at the stars...
I'm wondering how the roof
has gone missing

4.

and when you're alone,
do you ever think of me?
you're stuck in my head

5.

the waning crescent
is her, fading from my eyes
to the deep abyss

6.

I admire rappers —
during heated arguments,
my wife's the best one

7.

I wake up at a
scream of agony next room...
all night making love? !

8.

a cup of coffee
for the sleep-deprived; cups of
tea for gossipers

9.
breathless,
I buy a pack of cigar
with a health warning

10.

bought a book about
understanding women... I
stall on a blank page
