Selenophile Poem by Mycho Jamil

Selenophile

Oh celestial body, reflected by the sun's light
You capture all our sight
With all our might,
We seek your light

I'm over the moon
But will again despair soon
I stand alone in the darkness, staring at you
Knowing that you are everyone's due

I'm here at the rooftops
Embarking myself under your serenity
And suddenly, the pain stops
Because of your never-ending clarity

Though you're pretty far away
In your shadow, I'll stay
And lay down near the bay
Forever still at the end of the day
