Senseless Conclusions Poem by Stefanie Fontker

Senseless Conclusions

It hit the fan
Before I knew
What had happened
And there she was
In a rage, more
Beautiful than I
Can ever recall
She stormed towards
Little old me
And grabbed me by
My shirt's collar
She yelled at me
For a couple of
Horrific minutes
Slapped my shoulder
A few times
Made me remake
Promises I never
Ever thought of breaking
And then she was
Spent, done, tired
Before she could
Slip and slither
Away from me
I caught her and
Held her by her arms
And I insisted
She not jump to
Stupid conclusions
That make less sense
Than I do in her presence
