Sequestrate Poem by Christin Seya

Sequestrate

Words on your tongue
manifesting in my mind
the stink of old dust and lies
on your body.

The smell of it
of you
on me.

Your hands an illusion
holding my trembling body
as I fell into pieces
you vanished.

There is no thing I'm more afraid of
as being alone
chased by my own thoughts.

Increasing heart rate over your vision
sensing the brutality with whom you destroyed
me.

This love a folly
so I breathe hard
soaking in the air you robbed me of
but it is not enough

ever
