Serendipity Poem by Bernard Onoja

Serendipity

Rating: 3.0

Night and day in endless toil
Driven by the quest for a favorable end
Sleepless, and worry in earnest expectation
Hoping and praying it will happen soon.

Time and time again, the quest continues
Unquantifiable resources expended
Mood swings attend the central processing unit from where comes all the zest
Nothing compares to the joy of a positive outcome

Some get lucky with minimal effort
Uhuru! Their shouts of rejoicing ring
Many are not so lucky
Yet few toil, who believe in the great reward

Some missed it
Dropping off on the road to destiny
Just one favorable outcome
A merry heart will know it was worthwhile

Stick to the rules of the game
Strive with zeal
Failure is always on this route
Surely the end will come

Inspiring. Failure is always a possibility, but then so is success.
